Biography

Self taught, I use the computer to paint. I've always been interested in computers since I first worked on one way back in high school. And I've always had an appreciation for art, as my mother is an accomplished painter. Merging the two, what you see are the results. Digital work that looks (hopefully!) like a traditional painting.

Many of my paintings represent places that I've been in my life.  I love to travel, and have done my fair share.  Europe, the Caribbean, Canada, and, of course, all over the USA.  On these trips pictures were always taken.  How else to preserve the memory?  And it's these photos that serve as the "models" for some of the work you see

I first started taking photographs, buying a digital camera in 2001.  I had used film cameras before, but didn't care for the fact you had to wait and see if you got the shot long after you left the location.  I found the immediate feedback of a digital camera more appealing.  And while I enjoyed the photography (now on my 4th digital camera - a Nikon D90), I wanted to do more with the images I had.  So, with pictures as the model, I tried my hand at painting.  At first the results were.... well, not posted here.  But after a while, I got the hang of it.

Eventually, my wife Catalina suggested I post them online, and here they are.  I do hope you enjoy them.

My many works....
